The things we hope for can be huge when we look at them against the mirror of us. Do you know the things I mean? A marriage that is less than what you hoped for by now. The dreams you had for your child before they got with the wrong crowd. All the memories you thought you would make before your loved one was diagnosed. What now? Do we just stop praying because it seems like all hope is lost? Do we become pessimistic wanderers? No. The world does need any more of those. Friend you are more than your frustration. You are more than your circumstances or your worry.
No. We simply can’t. We won’t. The moment we lose hope could be the very moment before things take a turn in the right direction. What a terrible loss to not be watching in expectation when the opportunity for our miracle comes along.
There will always be times, and happenings that don’t seem to make sense especially when they are painful. But ( and that is a grande but! we can have hope that-God is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine according to his power that is at work within us. Ephesians 3:20
If we know that God is love, God is good, and God is able then the question of whether or not he answers our prayer isn’t a simple yes or no. It is more of a question of what is best for us? What is best for His will? And how great is our faith?
Is life just not going the way you thought it would? Are the hopes and dreams you’ve had just not panning out? When we have things that we want to achieve and it doesn’t happen, it’s easy to get frustrated with God. When it seems we are doing our best to follow Him, but the doors aren’t opening, we can begin to question God and ask Him who; or worse, get angry and not come to Him at all. It is in those times, when it seems all our efforts aren’t paying off, when it seems that goal will never be met, when it seems that a problem will never be fixed, that ladies is when we need to rely on God’s word the most and it’s Truth speak into our lives. God’s Word says that we should trust Him. He knows your hopes and dreams, your goals and ambitions, your worries and problems. He knows your plans and what you want to do. But the Word reminds us in Proverbs 19:21 that you can make many plans, but the Lord’s purpose will prevail.
So, when our plans aren’t quite working out, it may just be that God has a different plan for us. His Word also tells us that we should trust Him. In Psalm 37 we see the truth if we trust in the Lord we will be safe, prosper, and He will help us.
This Word is truth and we must believe it. Jeremiah 17:7 assures us that: blessed are those who trust in the Lord and have made the Lord their hope and confidence. So give your hopes and dreams to the Lord and trust that He will give you the plan which glorifies him and is best for you.
