God’s perfect love is greater than imperfect people.
Some days we can just feel so unloved. Oftentimes, it’s those that are closest to us that hurt us the most. Those that we love so much that can make us feel so unloved. It may be that child who just won’t obey you. It may be that parent who lets you down. It may be your husband who makes a comment that pierces your heart. It could be your loved one who takes you along on their road to addiction. Sometimes, through the situations we find ourselves in, we may be deceived into believing that we are not loved.
In our fallen world, all people, even those you love most, and yes, even you, are not perfect. We don’t always do the right thing. We don’t always say the kindest words. We often don’t appreciate those around us. And when when one of those imperfect people hurt you, our enemy gets in your ear and tells you that it’s your fault they said that hurtful comment. He’ll whisper that it’s never going to get and better or be any different with that person. He will try his hardest to make you believe that are truly are unloved by anyone.
We have to constantly be aware of our enemy’s attacks and fight against them with the Word of God. The Word tells us that God so loved the world (that includes you) that He gave His only Son so that if we believe in Him we will not perish but have eternal life in John 3:16. That is love. That was a sacrifice for you. God is love the Word tells us in 1 John 4:8.. And He loves you. He wants eternity with you. He is more and greater than any of us here on earth.
People are imperfect, and here in this earthly place where we may be put down or hurt or failed by those we love, God will never fail you says Deuteronomy 31:8. He is the perfect one, whose love is perfect and satisfying.
Remember this today: He always loves you. No matter how you feel. No matter what. He still loves you. Always has and always will.
May you be blessed and encouraged.
