Ezra writes…

stuck-2

Stuck in 2nd Chronicles or should I say stuck in the presence of God?

To set the seen you should know that this particular book in the bible is thought to be written by Ezra. It is during Solomon’s reign. Solomon was David’s son. Do you remember King David?

Ok well when the story starts Solomon is asking God for wisdom and knowledge. Oddly enough he didn’t want riches, wealth, or honor. He didn’t even want revenge on his enemies!

And Solomon Son of David was strengthened in his kingdom, and the Lord his God was with him, and magnified him exceedingly.  2 Chronicles 2:1

Interestingly enough the was in this passage is italicized. I was thinking of some hard times and how that verse is so true for us even today. Put your name in this blank _______ was strengthened in her kingdom, and the Lord WAS with her, and magnified her exceedingly. How much courage could you muster in your current situation if i told you it is true. That the truth is God is with you just like he was with Solomon because you are a believer. God is strengthening you and your household. He will continue to be with you. Girlfriend he will also magnify you.

The scripture tells us in verses 9-11 that God saw that Solomon’s heart genuinely did want wisdom & knowledge so he gave it to him. In addition to that God was so pleased he gave him riches and wealth too!

Here is the things sisters the more we seek God and pray for wisdom the smarter and more able we are to get wealth and all that other stuff.

But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well. Mathew 6:33

So what if your life feels like you have not seen a blessing in ages? In 2nd Chronicles it talks about how God with drew his blessing from his people for a while to get their attention back on him. But once they were humble, and turned back to God he forgave and restored them.

Which leads me to what I want to ask you today. Are you in need of a blessing, a healing, a miracle today? Try giving God your whole heart. Not just Sundays or a verse a day to keep the devil away but your whole heart. We all mess up it’s a fact. But it says in 2nd Chronicles 12:14 He did evil because he prepared his heart not to seek the Lord.

I do not want to be doing any evil. Nope. No thank you. I am sure neither do you. So let us prepare our hearts to see the Lord.

May you be blessed and encouraged.
