We can be deceived into believing that if we love Jesus more and more that our life will be easier. We may be deceived into believing that if another sister in Christ loved Jesus more that maybe that situation wouldn’t be in her life. But a look into the Word and Truth of God will tell us that it’s just not true. Jesus himself tells us:
that on earth we will have many trials and sorrows. John 16:33 .
It doesn’t matter how much you love Jesus, you will still have these situations that are difficult in your life. Just because a bad thing comes into your life, it doesn’t mean that you don’t love Jesus. Those hard times will come, but with Jesus, the rest of verse 33 says that we may have peace and remember that Jesus has overcome the world, and so He can help us overcome our difficulties.
Also keep in mind, that difficult situations do not mean that Jesus doesn’t love you.
The ultimate deception of our enemy is to have you believe that Jesus doesn’t love you.
We have to go to the Word of God, the Truth, to reveal our enemy’s lies. In John 3:16 we learn that God sent His Son to the World to save us sinners and give us eternal life. Jesus loves you so much He died for you, even when He knew that you, like everyone else on earth, would sin, He still died for you Romans 5:8 says. So don’t believe that Jesus doesn’t love you. The truth is, He loves you so much, He gave His life for you. He loves you so much, He wants to spend forever, eternity, with you. He loves you so much, that though you will have hard times, He will never leave your side (Deuteronomy 31:6).
