Gracious God

when-we-are-confident-he-is-gracious-2

This High Priest of ours understands our weaknesses, for he faced all of the same testings we do, yet he did not sin. So let us come boldly to the throne of our gracious God. There we will receive his mercy, and we will find grace to help us when we need it most.
Hebrews 4:15-16 NLT

We face our weaknesses each and every day. We all have them. Where I am weak may be different from where you u are weak, but no doubt those weaknesses are there. How great is it that our Lord understands where we are weak. He walked this earth just like we do. He was tested by this fallen, broken world just like we are. But Jesus was the perfect one while here on earth. We can try and try all we want to be perfect and not weak, to not be tempted and fall into a sin. But we are weak. However, where we are weak, Jesus understands. This verse tells us to come boldly to the throne of God. Through your faith in His Son Jesus, God invited you to come to His throne and tell Him where you feel you are weak. He wants you to tell him how you feel tempted. He wants you to ask Him for His strength where you are weak. God is gracious and this verse tells us that when you come to Him at His throne in your prayers, He will show you mercy. God doesn’t expect you to be perfect or strong all the time. If you could do that then what would Jesus’s blood be for? God already knows your struggles and weaknesses. He desires for you to acknowledge that His Son is the perfect One who can provide a way for you in this life. He wants you to come to Him and accept His grace and mercy. God is waiting to give that to you, so give your weaknesses to Him. Ask Him to help you. And readily receive His grace and mercy that He offers to you.

May you be blessed and encouraged.
