The Action-able Faith

action-able-2

Sometime situations arise, storms brew, and things fester in our lives to test our shield of faith. We often don’t understand these storms and things that happen. Even more so we do not understand what God requires of us. Simon in Luke 5:5 was so confused by what Jesus called him to do but he did it anyway.
“Faith is acting like it is so when everything seems to say it isn’t so”-Priscilla Shirer’s Dad
How do we move forward during a hard trial in life. “By the word of truth, by the power of God, by the armor of righteousness on the right hand and on the left. (2 Corinthians 6:7)
We faithfully preach the truth God’s power is working in us; we use the weapons of righteousness in the right hand of attack and the left hand for defense. We have righteousness and prosperity in the right hand and adversity without kindness in the left. When we pray we must leave the doubt out of the prayer. Saying to God “if it is your will” is like saying we doubt he is the eternal, omniscient, omnipresent God.  Instead we should approach the throne of grace with boldness and simply say “If you will”. Jesus always offers encouragement when he asks something of you. If there is a voice of discouragement remember that is the enemy who wants you to question God’s character in your life. An accuser who speaks to your failures. But remember only God can write your story, the enemy can only read it.

God I trust you in this moment that when I prayed for a fish your did not give me a snake. God I trust you in this moment that when I prayed for an egg you did not give me a scorpion. (Luke 11:1-13)
He is a loving God whose desire is not to give you a bad gift. Have faith today and works by  boldly petitioning your heavenly Father.
Pray this prayer with me today…

God help me to have faith that you are blessing me even in this moment. Open my spiritual eyes to see how you are working for my good. Help me to appreciate the moments that help me grow in character. Thank you for being such a good God. In Jesus Name Amen.
