Through this journey in life, often times it’s hard on us. People we love hurt us. We do things in our ignorance that hurt ourselves. We can become so secluded from others when we ourselves are hurting so bad. Do you ever do that? Do you hide from others just to hide the pain your feeling? Do you put on that smile and say “I’m fine, everything’s ok”? When we endure some sort of hurt and pain in our lives and we don’t know what to do with it, we can feel lonely and less than others around us. We can be deceived into believing that we are different than that woman or not as good. We can be faced with trouble after trouble, trails that seem to never end that bring pain and wear us down and make us feel like we will never be any better. But those those things your mind may be telling you are not true. Your feelings are what you feel, not what you have to be. You may feel lonely, but God says you are never alone(Joshua 1:9). You may feel tired of the same old trouble but God says He will give you rest(Matthew 11:28). You may be feeling this pain and can’t shake it, but God says you are healed by His wounds(1 Peter 2:24).
Knowing the difference between your feelings and the reality of the Truth is found in God’s Word.
This Word we’ve been given is our guide book. It is true now and forever. I encourage you to get in it and read it, take it to heart and believe it. Your life will change. Your pain will fade. Your loneliness will be satisfied. Your worth will be found.
