The theme for this new month is “New”.

There is a burning question I here a lot among new Christian’s. That question is “If I am a new person why do I still act like the old me?” Or “If they are Christians how can they act that way?”. To me it is basically the same question. If we are changed why isn’t it instant?

I have a two words for you, transformation and seed. Everything you ever need to have victory here on earth has already been given to you but it comes to you in the form of seed. There are plenty of people who will get to heaven but unfortunately never experience victory here in earth. Why? Well, because after they get saved they never what that seed daily. It starts to be trying to grow in dead soil. Imagine your salvation is like a seed and if full grown it would be a blooming flower of patience, joy, gentleness, etc. Every plant needs two things sunlight and water. Now imagine that the sunlight is your time in God’s word. The water is your time in worship and prayer. If one is missing you won’t have a thriving growing plant.

Let’s take it a step further. Imagine your seedling is growing and suddenly there are bugs. These bugs are eating holes in the plants leaves just making it all ugly. That is what happens when we let things like idols or addictions set up residence in our lives. What do you think would happen to that poor seedling plant if either the sun or water were taken while the bugs were eating it up? IT WOULD DIE RAPIDLY.

This year you are going to step into all that God has for you. There will be no more walking around wondering why you feel so empty. Now your eyes are opened. You know now it is vital if you are ever going  to walk in victory here on earth that you allow the Holy Spirit inside you what it needs to grow. This year will be the year you get in The word and worship with your whole heart. Glory be to God for what he is going to do for you this year. Your transformation is coming. This year you will say “I’m not bowing down to fear, or anything but my God”.

Jesus stood at the crowds, “Anyone who is thirsty may come to me! Anyone who believes in me may come and drink! For Scriptures declare, ‘Rivers of living water will flow from his heart.” John 7:37-38

May you be blessed and encouraged.
