It seems like every time I turn around there is some new mess or drama or problem in my life. There has been so much that I often think I am the mess, drama, and problem! It just seems that I was not chosen for a life that is easy. But that’s ok with me. It’s ok because I get so many opportunities to have so much awe and amazement in the God I serve.
So many times in the desperation of my trials I pray to Him and then long to feel His presence. I see His hand at work in my life. It may not be the day I pray (or even the month!) that I see Him moving, but He is. Many times it’s not until after the situation is already over that I see what God did in it.
But it still seems that when that trouble comes and the enemy’s attacks are firing at me left and right, I catch myself losing hope. I find myself feeling so down and defeated.
I forget what God has already done for me.
Then I think how can I lose hope when God has brought me into freedom and forgiveness, into providing for me and guiding me, answering my prayers time and time again.
I just want to encourage you today that if you are facing a difficult time, remember who God is and what He has done in your life. If you are in a season where it feels like nothing has gone right or good for sometime, if you can’t recall the last time you felt God move, if your desperation is there, pick up the Word and read what God to those He loved then and read about who He is. He made us all and loves us all, and what he’s done in the past he can do again for you.
So have your hope. Don’t lose it. Don’t let the enemy take ahold of your mind. Remember who God is and what He has done. Hold on to His promise that His plan for you is good (Jeremiah 29:11). I pray that you have a new awe of this Almighty God and how great He is all the time.
May you be blessed and encouraged!
