“Let me not be put to shame for I take refuge in You. May integrity and uprightness protect me, because my hope is in You.” (psalm 25:20-21)
Have you ever been in a situation or drama to where all signs pointed to your fault but you were really innocent? Almost like you feel framed but you didn’t do anything.
I would like to share a story with you today. Several years ago when I was in management there was this one day where money was missing. There were several manager and people with keys to the safe but this event happened when I was in charge. It looked like it had to be my fault. I was the only one there with a key that day. Until someone confessed that they saw another manager go back into the safe before they left that day. The whole thing ended up getting solved. The other party confessed with valid reason for taking the money and it was fine. But I still can remember that feeling I felt that day of when I was innocent but all signs pointed that I was guilty. I believe I am probably not the only one who has ever felt that way. Maybe you feel like that every time you pass a police officer. You may not even be speeding or doing anything wrong but you still feel panicked like maybe his radar gun will break or your speedometer will somehow have told you wrong and you will get a ticket anyway! Any body else?
Maybe you once were a drug user or a partier and you constantly think people are wondering if you are still using. Maybe you can’t go out with out your makeup on for fear someone will thing you are back to your old habits. For whatever reason if you feel worry or guilt when you know that you haven’t done anything wrong I want to set you free from that today because we serve a God who is there to rescue you. He has a love that will guard your life and rescue you from those who wrongly accuse you. When you walk in integrity, uprightness, and you allow your heart to hope in the Lord he will not let you be put to shame.
Today no matter what your situation is or how bad it looks you just tell the truth and put your hope in Jesus. He will not fail you.
May you be blessed and encouraged.
