Love Letters

I have heard so many people through out my life say two things.

1. I hate to read.

2. The Bible is boring.

Both of those things are lies. So I dare you today on this Valentine’s Day eve to commit to reading an entire story in your bible. You can pick any story you like but with one catch. Before you read close your eyes and say:

God I have felt like I hate to read sometimes and like your word is boring. I pray that you will remove those lies from me and give me a deep rooted love for your word. In Jesus name Amen.

Pray this prayer every time you go to read and believe in faith God will adjust your heart to line up with his will. If you do this for multiple days in a row things will start to change for you in your relationship with God possibly even with other people. I believe you may even start to love to read God’s word. Maybe even start to love reading.

You will discover a savior and a king whose name is Jesus; a valentine who will always be there for you. His words are like love letters for your soul. The Bible is filled with love. It is the opposite of boring because it is filled with twists and turns, villains, princesses, kings, angels, demons, messed up families, hookers, widows, pregnant women, wise people, and fishermen, prophets, priests, giants, shepards, diseased people, and even a lady on her period FOR TWELVE YEARS! I don’t even have words. Seriously.

I don’t know much in this life but I know that there is so much wisdom, comfort, and blessings that come from opening our hearts to the very pages God may use to speak to us and our current circumstances. May you find your love letters in the many pages with in your bible.

May you be blessed and encouraged.
