Loving People

love-to-the-least

The King will reply, ‘Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.” Matthew 25:40 NIV.

I want to encourage all of us to be the women who will hear our Lord say this same verse to us. I want us to be the women who love on people all the time and do the things that are described in Mathew 25 to everyone, even to the least of those around us. It says to feed those who are hungry, give them a drink, shelter them, give clothing to them, care for them when they are sick, and visit them. We can’t only love on and do for those who we like or who we know. Jesus would have us to show our love toward everyone, yes even that one girl who just gets on your nerves, even to the stranger you’ve never met, even to that person who you think doesn’t deserve any love or kindness. He says that when you do those things for the people around you, that you are really doing it to Him.

How many of us would love the opportunity to do something for Jesus himself? We have that opportunity everyday here on this earth.

As women, we have the opportunity to grow in our gentleness and kindness and patience as we take the time to love on others, serve them, and provide for them. We can let God transform us by that next degree by doing these things and not just being hearers of the Word but doers of the Word. We can bless others in their lives and we can have doors opened to share the Good News just by an act of service or kindness. Love the least of those around you, and see how their lives and yours begin to change.

May you be blessed and encouraged.
