So lets not get tired of doing what is good. At just the right time we will reap a harvest of blessing if we don’t give up. Therefore if we have the opportunity, we should do good to everyone especially those in the family of faith. Galatians 6:9-10 NLT.
In our busy lives, sometimes we just want to sit back, take a break, and not do anything. But on day 18 of the Put on, Put off challenge, I challenge you to put off that idleness and get to serving, not getting tired of doing good. You never know if that one day you choose to serving instead of being idle, that you may help bring someone into the kingdom of God.
This verse in Galatians 6:10 says that if we have the opportunity to do good to people that we should. How many opportunities do we idly let pass us by to do good? How much time are you letting pass by sitting idle, instead of working for the kingdom? I’m asking these hard questions because a ripe harvest is awaiting, but God desires the workers to do their work, and you are one of those.
So, I challenge you to not get tired of doing good. Put on serving someone other than yourself. Let idleness be a thing of the past. work for the kingdom of God, and then patiently wait for your harvest of blessing.
Prayer for today:
God thank you for using me to do work for your glory and kingdom. Forgive me Father when I let opportunities you provide pass me by. I don’t want to be idle Lord. I want to continue to do good. Lord when I am tired, give me your strength. When you provide an opportunity, Lord don’t let me pass it by. Open my eyes and ears to what opportunities you are putting in my path to do good for others. Thank you for all that you bless my life with. In Jesus name I pray. Amen.
May you be blessed and encouraged.
